The House

An old country house becomes a welcoming B&B surrounded by the green hills of the Piacentino, only a short distance from the attractions of Castell’Arquato, one of the most beautiful and fascinating localities in the area. Restoration of the building, which fully respects the original spaces and local materials, was effected both structurally and in the choice of furnishings and domestic antiques, stylishly recycled whilst still evoking the humble origins of this old workerâs cottage. The house offers a peaceful haven immersed in the landscape whilst still being an excellent starting point for exploratory excursions discovering the locality’s art, its gastronomy and quality wines, or else for walks along the country paths and tracks flanking the Piacenziano National Reserve.

The double rooms, with beds which can be separated if necessary, are all with ensuite bathrooms and face the landscape through wide glass windows, as is the green house, reserved for breakfasts, complete with newspapers as well as books and guidebooks for planning ones day in the vicinity.

For breakfast we use local products, fresh and in season. We serve ourselves in the farmhouses where fruits and vegetables ripen on the vine while jams are made with fruit from our trees. The cold cuts are from local producers and the eggs are from the chicken coop. Our breakfasts are usually sweet but if you wish to get up later and order a more substantial savory breakfast you can arrange Bed and Brunch.
